Ryan Gaither, Owner

Ryan Gaither officially started his business, Choice Landscapes LLC, in 2002 when he was just 18 years old. Although, he had been mowing lawns and doing yard work since he was in 5th grade. What began as a small, one-man lawn maintenance service has since grown into a thriving business. Today the company employs over 35 people and has crews working all over Skagit, Whatcom, and Snohomish counties.

Ryan has lived in Skagit County since 1996 and graduated from Anacortes High School in 2001. Ryan is an avid outdoorsman and he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.

Gary St. John, Manager

Gary has over 32 years' experience in the industry and has been working with the company in one capacity or another since 2012, taking on the role of accounts manager in 2021. Having owned his own company since 1990, Gary has an extensive background in landscape maintenance, landscape construction, and irrigation. He has a great wealth of knowledge about lawns, sprinkler systems, and more. Gary is a favorite of many of our customers. His friendliness, professionalism, and customer service skills have made him a valuable part of our team. Gary resides in Bellingham with his family.

Lloyd Chandler, Manager

Lloyd started working for his parents' lawn care business, BELL Mowing, at the age of 12 years old. He learned to love doing the work and operating various mowers and pieces of equipment. Lloyd took over his parents' company and was the owner for 13 years, quadrupling its size during his time as the owner. In 2016, Lloyd sold his company to Choice Grounds Care and joined our management team. Lloyd has a very strong work ethic, always going the extra mile, and is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of maintenance, from mowers to fertilizer and more. In his spare time, Lloyd enjoys going fishing and camping with his wife Kristen and his daughter Reilly.

Our crews have a variety of background and experience levels. We experience very good retention in our crews and for the most part, have the same crew members year after year. Our emphasis is on performing with consistent quality and delivering a good customer experience in the process. We select employees who will work hard and have an eye for detail.
